“A hundred years from now, our descendants will still have a strong American government, and an Internal Revenue to collect taxes to maintain social programs that we fought for in the 1930’s, the 1960’s, and the 2010’s.

They will live with Civil Rights, Social Security, and ObamaCare…though they will not remember us, they will remember the word Obama and no longer realize it was the last name of the first black President of the United States…there will have been others…and it will not matter anymore.” – the фантом

So now it’s “our descendants” rather than your great grand children. That, at least, is a bit more honest, phantom. Though you will have no direct descendants fear not, mine will no doubt support them as I have done for the likes of you.

The rest of us are experiencing one of the great projects in American history. We are witnesses to what must have happened in the past when great men and women created a new world filled with Hope based on Faith and Change.

We are watching the Continental Congress produce the Constitution.
We are watching the passing of the 14th and 19th Amendments
We are watching the protections of New Deal form.
We are watching the Civil rights of the Great Society form.
We are watching the basic health care institution of ObamaCare form.

13 Michelle March 20, 2014 at 3:43 PM

are these more “after the fact” thoughts? how long has it been?

14 Michelle March 20, 2014 at 3:45 PM

My husband signed up for this last year–to the detriment and resistance of everyone else. He was one of the first successful obama care insurerees–although he will continue to complain as he does about everything.

Let’s go picket that POS.

Impeach Obama and De-Fund ObamaCare

PhanTurd:

You’re either missing the point or just ignoring it for convenience:

Mr. Obama said over 30 times without any qualifiers, “If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. PERIOD. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. PERIOD. No one will take it away. NO MATTER WHAT.”

17 ObamaCares Stinks March 20, 2014 at 4:14 PM

Why in the heck would Obama create the biggest entitlement program in the history of the world in the middle of a recession/depression?

18 anon March 20, 2014 at 4:22 PM

Prior to obamacare was said there were 15% without health insurance.
democrats have managed to come up with a flawed law that’s going to screw over 85% of Americans. How freaking brilliant is that?

19 Don't sign up for Obamacare March 20, 2014 at 4:30 PM

Did you know that once you sign up for Obamacare, the government will have direct access to your bank account so they can make electronic transactions as they see fit.

My buddy tried to sign up, but he backed up when he saw what a rip off it was.

I thought it was free for all uninsured people.

Obama is a Liar, and think the Democratic party is going to take a big hit in the mid-term elections for it.

That is why he is trying to postpone the most devastating effects until after the election.

The problem with one-size-fits-all solutions is that everything has been decided for you and you will be forced to purchase a policy that costs more than you’d like, that contains features that you have no interest in.

You won’t have an opportunity to purchase a policy that fits your personal circumstances and you will be forced to carry coverage for events you may consider unnecessary. Say you happen to be a man and you know prenatal care isn’t for you, or if you aren’t planning on being addicted to hard drugs, you don’t need coverage for rehab. Perhaps you plan on having children who act like adults before they are 27, so you don’t need a policy that would eventually cover them. Obamacare obliterates the catastrophic coverage option so you will be forced to purchase coverage for events you are sure you will never experience.

21 Yhe Phantom March 20, 2014 at 6:57 PM

Mark, Don’t sign up, and others

…it is conspicuous that you do not know how insurance, any insurance works….ask an independent agent or your auto insurance customer sales associate.

Go to school…if you are not in school a school will be assigned to you.

The ObamaScare doesn’t work where people know how to read and write.

“Mr. [President] Obama said over 30 times without any qualifiers, ‘If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. PERIOD. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. PERIOD. No one will take it away. NO MATTER WHAT.'”

– He should have said

“If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. COMMA. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. COMMA. No one will take it away. NO MATTER WHAT.”

Cancelled policies: this only affected some 1.4% of all US insureds, 4,000,000 of 276,500,000. The overly broad, insurance policy generalization was a mistake…nothing more, and it affected about 1.4% of the insured. He didn’t “lie” about the other 98.6%.

The 1.44% (4,000,000) policies were not fit for service under ObamaCare…these predatory policies offered very limited protection.

@triple canopy #16…

You’ll notice that phantom completely ignores your comment….or blithely tries to explain it away by “taking it out of context” or saying ” you now have a better plan” ( without knowing what LAN you had.

He’s just trying to save dear leader’s face……..for whatever THAT’S worth.

24 Yhe Phantom March 21, 2014 at 2:30 PM

The young man from Oakland said, “All politicians lie but if he did, you know it isn’t because he’s trying to hurt you.”

When ObamaCare is completely installed, we can be proud we were involved in a great American project and it will continue long after we are gone…and that makes the goodness of our struggle worthwhile. – Yhe фантом
