Good Samaritan Helps Extinguish Vehicle Fire on Highway-4

February 20, 2014 18:24 pm · 12 comments

A good samaritan helped extinguish a vehicle fire on highway-4 near interstate-680 just after 6pm on Thursday.

We’re hearing the person ran across all lanes of highway-4 to assist the owner of the burning vehicle.

Good job to the helpful person, who risked their life to try and save somebody else.

Hopefully the traffic was slow and bunchy at that time of night.

By the way, I haven’t seen any service trucks that use to patrol the highways for a long time. Are they still out there?

With as many nuts on the road talking on their phones and general inattentiveness, it is not advisable to get out of your vehicle for any reason… A vehicle can be replaced… a life cannot be replaced.

@ BS–4

I’ll say a prayer for you.

True, not a safe thing to do but thankfully there are people who will help others even when it’s not safe.

For every self centered, egotistical ,angry person there are two kind, caring and helpful people to make up for it. Let’s just hope they do not get disillusioned and fed up with all the sickness in the world today.

Little Bodie, I love your post and so very true! This story and the comments gave me a much needed boost. I hope the good Samaritan happens upon this story.

If we had more good Samaritans, just like this man, the world would be a much better place. His actions should encourage us to be more involved, not look the other way. May Buddha bless him.

I’m glad the Samaritan was not hurt. I know someone who is permanently injured and another killed from helping motorists. The big guy upstairs(whatever people call it) was looking out for him. We do need more people like this in this ME ME ME day and age.
