A Martinez man arrested on Friday after images of child porn were found in his home has worked as a teacher in local school districts, according to police.

Peter Andrew Poulson, 64, was arrested today after Martinez police were called to his home on the 300 block of Freda Court for a welfare check, according to Detective Sgt. Dave Mathers.

Police say they located the child pornography after contacting Poulson, and obtained a follow-up search warrant for his home.

Several items were seized as evidence, Mathers said.

No children were in the home with Poulson, but police said he has worked as a teacher for “one or more school districts in the region.”

Police did not specify to which districts they were referring.

Poulson was booked into Contra Costa County Jail in lieu of bail set at $160,000.

Anyone with information on Poulson is asked to call police at 925-372-3450.

well next year there may be one ‘somewhere else’. there is so much badness all around us. when something looks good the next thing you know its not. This world is so far beyond anyone being able to repair it. I’ve concluded only God is able to solve this mess. ‘Just a little while longer and the wicked one will be no more’. Ps 37:10,11

>> I’ve concluded only God is able to solve this mess.

Or maybe aliens will come down and solve all our problems. Let’s just wait for that to happen.

If Set. Mathers is on the case, more than likely the internet is involved.

Noticed this guys street is immediately behind the Post Office.

What can you really say or do but pray for law enforcement to handle it thoroughly.

One of my (grown) children had him at both El Dorado and Concord HS. I don’t believe he is an active teacher in the district any longer. Kid said “I KNEW he was creepy, no one wanted to be in his class.” Eww to think your child had such a creep for a teacher. I agree with Cartman.

So so creepy. You gotta watch out for ‘em. They’re out there. Back in my day you knew they were creepy, just as now. We called them perverts back then. Anyone remember when school let out at CVHS @ early ’70s and you had to cross to the other side of the street as the old boozers came out of Sil’s to leer?

This story is interesting on another level. The police were called to do a welfare check, and this guy let’s them into his house, and what? Does he have child porn wallpaper, or it’s laying all about his living room? To my knowlege, a welfare check is usually a short conversation with the resident(s), unless further assistance is required. Sounds curious. Disgustingly curious.
