This picture, courtesy of CSK Photography, is a two part shot, taken in February of 2011 & February of 2014.
Sad to see, but hopefully the recent rains will help them turn a little less brown and a little more green.
We will, or I should say, might, have an emergency for cattle in this area. Feeding them, if the grass does not grow tall enough. It may even look green for a bit, but not be substantial enough grass height to feed a lot of hungry cattle. So expect beef to go up in our area I guess.
btw love old Mount Zion, what is left of it anyway. Spent many a night camping at the top in the 70’s…
Hopefully the cattle ranchers have a “plan- B” up their sleeves since the lack of water is an on-going problem and they have had lots of time to think about it.
