Thanks to James for this video of a vehicle fire on Monument Blvd. in Concord.

James says “I witnessed a vehicle fire this morning on Monument right after Mohr Lane. A Lexus SUV was fully involved. The driver was out and on the phone with 911 and a PG&E truck seemed to have pulled over to help direct traffic. Fire and PD had yet to arrive so it must have happened not long before I came across it.”

No injuries were reported during this fire.

Thanks again to James for sharing the video!

I’m glad everyone is all right.

How exactly would a Lexus SUV be “fully involved”?
The words are in English, but together they make no sense.

Car fires are only newsworthy if they’re happening to a Tesla.

Clayton, it’s a fire fighting term meaning that the vehicle is heavily consumed by the flames. I may not have been fully accurate int hat description since only the engine compartment was on fire but at the time it seemed like the whole thing was going up.
