How does one cause a rollover in a parking lot….?

2 ladybug December 19, 2013 at 11:33 AM

How the heck did that happen!?!?!?

3 anoonn December 19, 2013 at 11:38 AM

OUCH!!!

4 Just Sayin' December 19, 2013 at 11:45 AM

Is that a bottom-heavy PT Cruiser? It’s not like the Dodge Neon, which got a reputation at amateur road courses for “rollin’, rollin’, rollin’, keep them Neons rollin’… RAWHIDE!”

5 who can u trust anymore? December 19, 2013 at 11:46 AM

Texting hit curb , then rolled just a thought ,glad no injured

6 cainmyrearview December 19, 2013 at 11:46 AM

7 Josh December 19, 2013 at 11:50 AM

I miss Emporium Capwells. Used to work there in 1995.

8 Jolly December 19, 2013 at 11:56 AM

Wow that is a new level of bad driver to be able to roll a car in a parking lot full of Christmas crowds.

9 bumper morgan December 19, 2013 at 12:03 PM

Speed…

10 B December 19, 2013 at 12:11 PM

Only a woman driver can be that stupid

11 AnonoGod December 19, 2013 at 12:21 PM

Memories of Suzuki somersault.. Everyone that I know that had a Suzuki samurai flipped it..

12 S December 19, 2013 at 12:23 PM

I take back what I said about Nebraska drivers being stupid.

13 PT whoops December 19, 2013 at 12:28 PM

Well folks so much curiosity. It was me I was driving. On my way to the gym. The lane turns kinda sudden towards the left. Perfect timing I looked away to grab my coffee and that’s all it took. It’s a bummer and it was the car my son uses when he’s home, was going to give it to him. We are out of a car, complete loss and my boy is hoofing it for now. Appreciate your prayers during time. I am blessed to not be injured or anyone else. God is merciful and kind and this brings my mind back to the precious gift of His son for us.
I wish you all a blessed and safe Christmas.

14 Pattycakes December 19, 2013 at 12:29 PM

Even though I’m thinking the driver is male…looking at the citizen standing next to the wreck…there with the officer…

15 Barbie December 19, 2013 at 12:31 PM

They must have been in a hurry for the Olive Garden lunch special!

16 Howard K Mullins III December 19, 2013 at 12:33 PM

I hope the driver was not seriously injured. There are so many elderly out this time of year who are not used to a lot of traffic. We should all be considerate of older drivers.

If this was a younger driver, I hope they learned an important lesson.

17 Mrs. T December 19, 2013 at 12:44 PM

And only a Man would write such a stupid comment!!!

19 Mr. Pink December 19, 2013 at 12:51 PM

Solo car parking lot rollover. Jackass.

20 Silva December 19, 2013 at 1:00 PM

Thanks Howard. People don’t have patience for elderly drivers. C’mon guys, give them a break. You’ld want the same for your mom & dad.

21 GladYRoK December 19, 2013 at 1:00 PM

@ PT Whoops

Glad you are ok. Enjoy happy and safe holidays!

22 Concord Guy December 19, 2013 at 1:02 PM

Just another person driving like a damn idiot.

@PT Whoops,
Sorry you had to go through that. glad you are ok. Hope your holiday season gets better.

26 ThiswillbethetalkofNorthCreeek December 19, 2013 at 1:45 PM

@PT Whoops
So glad no one was hurt.
God is good. Have a good Christmas.

Read the other comments.
90% of you are so dumb it hurts.

27 jtkatec December 19, 2013 at 1:52 PM

God, Christmas and dumb …. all in one post. Nice.

28 Seriously People? December 19, 2013 at 1:56 PM

I am amazed how quickly people on Claycord act like children when something is reported. Come on people… The person had enough guts to admit they made a mistake. I know this person, and I know it is not a woman, wasn’t texting, is not elderly, and does understand God’s grace and mercy in their life. This person made a simple mistake that affects them only. So sad it takes putting someone else down to make yourself feel better. I thought we stopped that when we graduated from Jr High?.?.

29 Trucker Bug December 19, 2013 at 2:01 PM

Hope you didn’t spill your coffee
*thumbs up*

30 vindex December 19, 2013 at 2:19 PM

@PT cruiser.
Praise God you were not hurt.

31 Lucy December 19, 2013 at 2:28 PM

PT whoops, glad you are ok!! Merry CHRISTmas!!

32 Joe Blow December 19, 2013 at 2:36 PM

@PTWHOOPS
Well lets thank “GOD” that your inability to maneuver a vehicle through a simple parking lot didn’t cost someone else any serious injury or “GOD” forbid, their life! Lets all pray to “GOD” that he gives you better driving skills before you get behind the wheel again!
Amen!!!

33 Cowellian December 19, 2013 at 2:44 PM

I’m glad that no one was hurt, but you’ve got to admit this is worth talking about.

34 BreakingJen December 19, 2013 at 3:05 PM

@PT Whoops: How awful, while the stress is never needed during this time of year, being able to walk away from a rollover accident is definitely a blessing! Remember the car is just a thing, I am sure your son is fine walking knowing that you are ok and weren’t injured. Merry Christmas!!

35 Dang IT December 19, 2013 at 3:13 PM

Look Good ruined for the rest of the week.

36 BUCK426 December 19, 2013 at 3:21 PM

PT Whoops…cars are replacable, also glad you’re ok.

….now, “The lane turns kinda sudden towards the left….” you’re talking about the lane that is made of concrete and has ALWAYS been there, right? Please have your coffee before you leave the house/mall, keep the hands on the wheel at 10 and 2. Stay focused/be safe….EVERYONE.

Merry Christmas!

37 Anon December 19, 2013 at 4:29 PM

Oh No, they pulled the “Gawd” card. Now all Logic and Rational thinking shall cease, and the other “Gawd” Lover’s shall come to their comrades defense. (Even though it’s a stranger on the internet and could be a Shill).

38 Tessa December 19, 2013 at 4:39 PM

You people are brutal, shesh. Just be happy the person is safe and well. People make mistakes while driving, it doesn’t automatically make them old or a woman. And i have had it with people being mad about mentioning God, have you forgotten our country was founded on Christian beliefs? If someone said “thank Allah” no one would dare saying something bad about that. Talk about double standards. Glad everyone involved is alive, well and able to tell the tale. Merry Christmas and tell someone you love them, never know when an accident may change a life.

39 Dee juju December 19, 2013 at 4:47 PM

That’s how our family rolls. So glad you are okay. We just want to know did you spill your coffee? Sarah didn’t.

40 Atticus Thraxx December 19, 2013 at 4:56 PM

Don’t let it get you all worked up Tessa. If your looking for reasonable and rational you came to the wrong place.
Stick close to me, I got sunshine coming outta my rear ;)

41 Cowellian December 19, 2013 at 5:16 PM

I’m sure there’s a lawyer willing to sue whoever sold the coffee.

NTINS: The last time I bought coffee, I asked why they didn’t have some kind of warning with the cup. They said they did, but it was on the bottom. Not only did they lie about the warning, but they laughed and refused to replace all that spilled coffee. I’m just looking for a lawyer who will take my case.

42 Chevrolet Girl December 19, 2013 at 5:25 PM

So no one commenting on this has ever had any type of accident? So easy to judge someone else’s mistakes! This is not the spirit of Christmas! PT whoops glad you’re okay! Happy Holidays!

43 Cowellian December 19, 2013 at 5:45 PM

I’m fairly certain that I’ve never rolled my car while reaching for coffee at the mall.

44 @Cowellian December 19, 2013 at 5:50 PM

I’m sure the warning on the cup was there, maybe faded over a period of time. And I’m sure it was excellent coffee. :-)

45 Smith system driver December 19, 2013 at 5:54 PM

You could have been the next David Rosen. That’s plane reckless driving. No excuses. To roll a car like that takes excess speed.David apologized and probably found God by now to. Why do you give this person a pass, because no one was killed and they hide behind being a good Christian. Just saying.

46 Cowellian December 19, 2013 at 6:01 PM

:)

47 Connie Dobbs December 19, 2013 at 6:04 PM

Yes, by all means, stop liking what #37 doesn’t like.

48 Miss Chatty December 19, 2013 at 6:14 PM

Stop with all of the hateful posts and negative comments towards those of us who are followers of Jesus. Free speech is available to all of us, even Christians.

As a Christian, there is a major attack against our freedom to worship and speak freely about our belief in God. You do not need to agree with my beliefs, just respect everyone and be polite.

49 Sar Casm December 19, 2013 at 8:59 PM

Anything is possible these days. Rolling a “Passenger Tumbler” Cruiser in the mall parking lot included. Have you seen the way people drive in parking lots these days? People see the name Sears on the side of the building, suddenly they think they’re at the racetrack in Sonoma! Put away the electronic driving distractions, pay attention to your driving, and slow down!

50 Rick December 19, 2013 at 10:54 PM

As a Tow Truck operator I righted a lot of cars that had been rolled over. Half of them made sense as to how they did it. This aint one. I don’t get it. Glad no one was hurt.

51 ABC December 20, 2013 at 12:39 AM

If PT Whoops is the real person driving this car, I thank God that you or anyone else is injured. Hopefully this event didn’t occur because you were “racing”. A month or so ago, I went to park in the lower parking levels in the structure, and someone was racing their car there.

52 ABC December 20, 2013 at 12:40 AM

correction: thank God that you or anyone else is NOT injured. sorry, typed too fast

@ # 37 opined: “..they pulled the “Gawd” card. Now all Logic and Rational thinking shall cease….”

If “Atheism” is just the lack of belief in God, then “Religion” is the lack of non-belief in God.

55 KenInConcord December 20, 2013 at 6:24 AM

Wow, comparing her driving to David Rosen???? People don’t understand that not all roll-overs take place at 70mph!

This rollover was because the car struck a curd (and most likely the wall) and it just “turned over”!! This could happen at 10 mph. Everyone is just dying to think the worst. Maybe this is the only way they can feel good about themselves.

I’m very impressed that the driver would humble herself and post a statement on Claycord even admitting she was wrong. And heaven forbid she say she was grateful to higher power that nobody was hurt.

It’s time this country takes another look at the difference between “freedom OF religion” and. “freedom FROM religion”.

If you are offended by me talking about MY religious views, tough! In fact I’m offended that your offended!

56 Find Waldo December 20, 2013 at 7:05 AM

Just flip it back on its wheels. Put a new windshield in it. Maybe give it a camo paint job. Good to go…

57 Walnut Creek Resident December 20, 2013 at 8:28 AM

Yes in the Claycord culture, everyone blasts everyone and then there is a wave of defending their little empire of beliefs by hateful remarks.
It is an accident, a very scary experience to have. What is wrong with some of you people? Thank goodness there are the kind , thoughtful people who remind us to be compassionate especially when someone has had an event that is traumatic.

58 Sophia December 20, 2013 at 9:52 AM

Don’t you hate it when someone takes your picture and your eyes are closed?

59 PT JT December 21, 2013 at 10:36 PM

I just wanna say. All of you bashing a stranger because he mentioned God should be ashamed. What happened to tolerance? This man admired making a mistake and was only thanking God that he, or anyone else, wasn’t injured. Where does he cease to use logic? BTW I’m an athiest, but I still have respect for God fearing people, especially those who are kind and humble like this man. It’s hard being a Christian in this culture. The popular media bashes them so much. It’s easy to be an athiest here, but to go against popular belief is brave and honorable as long as they use it to spread love and kindness, as Christ taught.

60 PT Whoops Jr. December 21, 2013 at 10:45 PM

Thanks to everyone who has defended my father, especially PT JT. My father is probably the kindest man you’ll ever meet. He spends his days counseling people, and he seeks to share the love of Jesus Christ with all he can. He hasn’t tried to shift blame for this accident or reject responsibility. He lives his life for others and part of that is sharing the gospel so he saw his opportunity to give it to a mass audience, and if you had an important message wouldn’t any of you do the same. What is social networking but a way to express ourselves? And that is what he did he expressed the most important part of his identity, his faith. So thanks again to all those who defended him, and to those who attacked him. God bless, we don’t love you any less. :)

The “open minded liberal”, the next group of idealists to stuff people in ovens.

62 Connie Dobbs December 22, 2013 at 12:40 AM

#59, new to California?

63 umm January 1, 2014 at 7:55 PM

not that great of a guy… not that great of a faith. i knew him and he told me the only reason he kept his job at the church was so that his wife could maintain health benefits…
