The holiday season’s largest shopping extravaganza is coming up this weekend in Concord.

The 4th annual Super Holiday Boutique at Centre Concord is happening this Sunday from 11am to 4pm at Centre Concord on Clayton Rd.

The free indoor holiday event will allow shoppers to get those special one-of-a-kind holiday gifts and stocking stuffers for family, friends and colleagues from a variety of arts and crafts vendors, home-based businesses and commercial exhibitors.

Toys, clothing, jewelry, purses, cosmetics, candles, soaps, candy, fashion accessories, home goods, bath and body, books, kitchenware and cooking products, baked goods and so much more will be available. There will also be holiday decorations galore along with self-help and home improvement exhibitors.

A raffle will be held benefiting the Contra Costa Suzuki Strings as they prepare for Music on a Mission trip to Children’s Rescue Mission in Teupasenti, Honduras in June and July 2014.

Besides performing and teaching music to the children at the mission the group plans on leaving violins for the students to play in the future. The group will perform at 1pm and 3pm during the Super Holiday Boutique.

Mires Martial Arts will perform at noon and 2pm.

Also, Santa Claus will be on hand to hear holiday wishes starting at noon, and he’ll pose for free photo opportunities for kids of all ages.

There will be free holiday arts and crafts activities allowing kids to make keepsake presents for their family and friends.

Each attendee will receive a free raffle ticket, and the donation of each can of food to the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano will earn the donor another raffle ticket. The first 300 families through the door will receive a holiday goody bag.

Super Holiday Boutique is free to the public with free parking around the venue at 5298 Clayton Rd. behind In-Shape Sport and Clayton Valley Bowl.

If it isn’t a CHRISTMAS boutique/tree/sale/celebration, you won’t find me there supporting you with the money I have traded my time for. As a Christian, we need to stand up for what we stand for. Christ is the only reason for the season… You may not like it, but it is true. Continue to ignore this and I will go out of my way to not stimulate your economy the rest of the year either.

Yeah, Right on Ant. What about our Wiccan full moon ceremony? We’re going to slaughter a goat. Happy Holidays!

#1, Hmmm, “Christian rant person”

If you believe in Christ then you realize your anger only weakens his position in the world. Good luck with your beliefs. Pray that god ignores your blackening heart.

Christmas faire–our culture is different than most. By culture, I mean behaviour. I recently had out-of-town guests who were completely surprised at the way we do things here. The openness was a little overwhelming although really meant in a respectable way.
