@ WOW Dave is a close friend and a remarkably kind man:) He has an amazing collection of photos and is an excellent photographer. Being out of work due to the very long recession and recently without his car because the transmission broke…Dave chooses to go out and seek “positive and uplifting” images to capture and share with others. I’m so happy that people appreciate his talents 🙂 I hope he feels encouraged with all the feedback. Maybe someone might offer suggestions on where he might share some of the stunning images he captures… Keep up the good work Dave!!! Very nice:)

Does anybody know if he has a website? I’d love to add it to the photo!

I’m pretty sure it’s a Wilson’s Warbler.

Camera was the Sony A77 and lens was the Sony 70-300mm SSM G series lens. Camera shot at 12 frames per second to capture as much movement as I could. Thanks all for the positive comments.

Hi Mayor, A little bird told me that Dave Allen has a website that he is posting soon 😉

Dave Allen October 28, 2013 at 9:59 PM

I have set up a web site so those interested can view more images. I’ll be adding more on a regular basis. Comments are welcome.

Wonderful and amazing photo. Keep posting them !

That’s definitely not a goldfinch. The beak is a completely different shape. A warbler of some kind. Orange-crowned? Wilson’s?

I think you are correct after looking at my finch feeder pictures and looking up the Warbler. Won’t be the last time I was wrong…..

Scout October 29, 2013 at 11:37 PM

That’s a Tequila Mockingbird.
