A few months ago, we told you the Contra Costa Water District was in the process of installing a new water pipeline on Marsh Creek Road near the mobile home park (about eight miles past Morgan Territory Rd.)
Unfortunately, last night, criminals raided the construction zone and took off with two excavators and a compaction wheel.
Below is the information from the victims of the theft.
Our company, McGuire and Hester is performing the waterline upgrades on Marsh Creek. Last night at 7:45pm we had two of our excavators (307 & 308) and a compaction wheel stolen right off of Marsh Creek.
The excavators were staged alongside the road. In order to move them, aside from walking them off the project site. The authories say people might have seen the suspects load them onto a dually pick-up truck with a tilt up trailer. This would have involved shutting down part of Marsh Creek Road and would have been highly visible.
Initial investigations show a blue Subaru might have also been involved.
We are asking for the public’s help in locating these two excavators.
If you saw anyone operating these excavators, loading them or hauling them on Marsh Creek or have information as to their whereabouts, please come forward and call Kim Carone with McGuire and Hester at 925-785-7480 or 510.632.7367. Kim can also be reached at KimCarone@mcguireandhester.com. Attached are two photos of the excavators which are marked with large green stripes and the yellow McGuire and Hester logo.
More photos and information can also be seen on our facebook page.
If anybody saw anything suspicious last night at 7:45 (give or take a few minutes), please contact Kim.
