Neighbors and commuters in the area of the Downtown Concord BART Station are unhappy with the BART union workers who started striking at 5:30 this morning, and not only made noise, but also caused a traffic hazard on Clayton Road at Oakland Avenue.
One Claycordian commented at 5:35am, saying “Just woke up to the chants of strikers at the station about a block away. (Concord BART)”
Another person said “I feel for them, but come on, let me sleep! I already have to wake up early because of them and to wake me up even earlier is just plain rude and inconsiderate.”
The video above, which also came from a Claycordian, shows some of the strikers walking on to Clayton Road, in the dark, while vehicles were trying to go through the green light.
There were no union workers striking at Concord BART this afternoon.
