September 23, 2013 · 2 comments

A tree fell on power lines on Beverly Drive (off Ruth Drive) in Pleasant Hill at about 5:50 on Monday night.

The fire department is on scene, and PG&E is on their way.

No injuries were reported.

Please use caution if you’re in the area.

No injuries is a good thing. Drive carefully!

Iit was a very large branch from a huge Pine tree that ended our Star Trek marathon that afternoon with a mightly boom when it hit the power lines. Glad nobody got hurt. Had the entire tree come down the story likely would have been different. I think the property owners truck might be damaged. PD was on scene in under 10min’s, roped everything off, fire crew got here quickly as well and PG&E had restored power by around 1am..so we sat in the dark one night and ended up talking and playing board games by candle light…wasn’t so bad. The world didn’t end just b/c nobody got to see Monday night football or could get on Facebook. :)
