Will ask my husband. Hopefully we’ll both be there.

Wonderful idea. Thanks Mayor!

I’m going to convince my husband he needs to come to this event. We both need to help out the community more and this is well worth it.

I would love to help, but have to work 🙁

I do hope this is just cleaning up around the grounds. I’ve walked this cemetery and it looks as if someone has gone around and scrubbed some of the stones with soap and water, and darkened in the inscriptions with magic marker. This is very bad for the gravestones, especially the really old historic ones.

#6, I worked in a cemetery. It was quiet, pretty laid-back, not a lot of complaints. Washing the stones or darkening inscriptions sounds like something the families of the deceased would have done. Vandals steal the stones or knock them over. Speaking of, I’m glad no morons have gotten to the military cemetery. There’s Civil War dead in there, which is very cool.
