For the interested, this was taken from Martinez, camera pointed somewhere between Bailey road and Kirker Pass, about 10 miles away.
400mm on an APS-C. Cropped the photo to bring the moon closer to the frame.

Lovely pic. Tried myself but the moon was so bright I had to wear my shades. The pics looked like one gigantic headlight (go to the light and time for Valhalla). Thanks again for the Harvest Moon. Autumn is one of my favorite seasons.

Beautiful! I tried some moon shots with a 210mm on an APS-C, cropped, raw format. But the reach wasn’t there. Now I’m tempted to purchase a 400mm so I can take shots like this.
