A Claycordian was the victim of an attempted vehicle burglary this afternoon in the Lime Ridge parking lot off Montecito Drive in Concord.
Here’s what happened.
I parked my car in the Montecito lot and went hiking in Lime Ridge at about 1pm today. When I got back at 2pm, my car door was open and everything in my glove box such as pens, registration, make-up was all over my car, and the thief even left a nice lugie hanging from my windshield. He was probably mad that I had nothing in my car for him to steal.
All my doors were locked when I left but the rubber around my driver side window was a little messed up so I’m thinking he had some tool to unlock the door.
At least you didn’t have anything in your vehicle for him to take, and fortunately, none of your windows were broken.
Be careful if you park in any lot around Lime Ridge, vehicle are ALWAYS being burglarized, so don’t leave anything valuable inside.
