Short Police Pursuit throughout Downtown Concord on Saturday Night

July 21, 2013 12:00 pm · 22 comments

Just before 11pm on Saturday, the CoCo County Sheriff’s Office and the Concord Police were involved in a very short pursuit throughout Downtown Concord.

One Claycordian was almost hit by the man police were pursuing….

A man in a black Lincoln town car just came straight at me going the wrong way on Clayton Road. Almost hit me head-on!

Police terminated the pursuit after the man started driving at a high-speed with no headlights on, and on the wrong side of the road.

Police lost the vehicle after they terminated the pursuit, but found it at the Clayton Crossings apartment complex on Monument Blvd.

The suspect wasn’t located, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.

for terminating a dangerous pursuit!
The Moron got away this time, they
will get him next time.

One wonders if mad mom or old concord can have an alibi to account for their time during the pursuit..

So they found the car, but have no way of telling who the owner is?

“So they found the car, but have no way of telling who the owner is?”

It takes seconds to run the plate for that info

It was me who was almost rammed head on. The sheriff just stood there and watched because they couldnt go down a one way for safety reasons. The suspect abandoned his car at the Clayton crossing apartments and than ran into the complex. K9 was dispatched but with no luck. Suspect was described as a heavy set bald male.

Can’t they get his finger prints from the car – maybe the steering wheel or the interior door handle? I bet this isn’t his first run-in with the law. He’s probably on parole. Run the prints and book him… and throw the book at him too.

So you think I’m a deranged guy driving recklessly through the streets of Claycord?
Must be my all too clever moniker. Rats!

Sweet! July 21, 2013 at 9:06 PM

Now I know how to get away.

Expect more crazy car chases now that everyone knows what to to in Concord.

My Pappy said, “Son, you’re gonna drive me to drinkin’ . . .”

Anon July 21, 2013 at 10:17 PM

Why can’t they use the tire spikes, blow out the tires and get the scumbag when he runs?

old concord July 22, 2013 at 12:55 AM

Wasn’t me , I don’t drive American cars .

It might have been me. I woke up with a huge hangover at a beautiful empty house in Walnut Creek with some cool, old hippie chick and neither one of us can remember how we got there. Place seems deserted. Maybe we’ll stay for a few days.

i used to live in that apartment complex in 2002 man that area was like mini oakland i swear drug dealers everywere ….murders ,robberies, man that area was really bad ..i think that area was the absolute worst area in concord back then..

Cassandra July 22, 2013 at 11:20 AM

They know who owns the car. Ever heard of the DMV? Whether it was the owner driving is a different story.

anon July 23, 2013 at 7:50 AM

Maybe the Tall Police wouldn’t have given up so quickly?
