Walnut Creek Police have released more information (and the photo pictured above) regarding the robbery of a taxi-cab driver on June 6th near the intersection of Treat Blvd. & Bancroft.

The following information is from the Walnut Creek Police:

On June 6, 2013 at 8:24am, a taxi cab driver was robbed by a female suspect who was picked up as a fare in Walnut Creek.

The suspect is described as a white female adult, approximately 21-25 years old, 5’7″ tall, 120 lbs. with long blonde hair. She was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black stretch pants, and carrying a black backpack.

No weapon was used.

Right after the robbery, the suspect was caught on video in the 76 gas station on Pacheco Blvd, after being dropped off by an unsuspecting good citizen. The suspect said her name was “Caitlin”.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Bill Jeha at 925-256-.3518

Why don’t they enhance that picture; it’s too dark. I pasted it in to IrfanView and had a better picture in 10 seconds; and I don’t even know what I’m doing!

So, it’s time to play guess that crime. Did the woman not supply the drugs requested or was it the, um, personal services that she failed to perform. I know either of those two possibilities are unfathomable in an upstanding community like Walnut Creek, but you have to take into account the Pacheco angle. My money is on a drug con, but maybe the cabbie has bad taste.

Judging by that picture, if the suspect is 5’7″, she weighs more than 120 lbs. She’s looking more in the neighborhood of 140 to 150 lbs.

The police should make up some wanted posters and plaster the area in the vicinity of the 76 gas station on Pacheco Blvd.

She doesn’t look too blond in that picture either.

Interesting, the focus on this crime…guess, WCPD thinks she’s trouble.

How was this a robbery with no weapon? Did she just not pay her fare? What happened?

WC44 June 12, 2013 at 11:26 AM

All this for stiffing the cab driver? Picture is captioned no_fare_robber, so I am making an assumption. Cab driver probably was leering at her and she wanted to get away from him. Walnut Creek cabs are the worst.

I’m pretty sure she “stiffed” the driver; then took his money and left him there. lol 🙂

Poor girl was probably trying to get a little cash to buy some lunch in that overpriced downtown WC.

Who robbed who? Ever taken a Cab in Walnut Creek/Concord or Pleasant Hill? Talk about robbery-the fares are ridiculous, no wonder people drive drunk – it is cheaper than taking a taxi in this area

@? #6-
I’m pretty sure it’s a robbery if you directly confront the victim (like snatching a purse while it’s attached to the victim). In this case, the perpetrator apparently injured the taxi-cab driver (minor injuries sustained). You can read about it on the June 6, 2013 stories posted at

@Glen #10-
The date is fuzzy, but it appears it is 2013/6/6 (not 2011/6/6).
