Pleasant Hill Police are investigating a major injury vehicle collision, which occurred overnight on Gregory Lane near Kahrs Avenue.

A witness in the area sent the following note to Claycord.com….

I heard a crashing noise from in my house, turned on the scanner and headed outside to investigate. at Kahrs Ave. and Gregory lane westbound a car skidded off the road and slammed head on into a small retaining wall, jumped that and through an iron fence and ended upside down with a victim laying outside of the vehicle and others still inside.

Thanks to the witness for the first-hand account.

We’re hearing another vehicle also crashed right after the first vehicle, and an injured pregnant girl was taken to John Muir. There’s no word yet on her condition.

Police are currently investigating the crash, and trying to determine if racing was involved. No further details are available.

I saw an accident yesterday morning around 4:20am on 680 south just before where it meets 242. Couldn’t exactly see what happened as I was heading north but a lot of paramedics and police!

Employees working at a nearby business told me that the two vehicles were racing west bound on Gregory before they crashed. She said they were 18-19 years old, and drugs and/or alcohol was involved.

What a stand up friend Paula is, 1st to get behind the wheel under the influence, 2nd to involve not just herself but all those in the car in a street race, 3rd to leave the crash when her friends are injured, There’s no justification for her actions except she’s ……..welp I’ll let you decide what she is. But to leave her friend whom is 6 months pregnant……She should hope that nothing goes wrong with Geena and her baby.. That will be a whole nother ballgame and as I see it she’s already struck out. I’m sure she hasn’t learned her lesson and if had a do over would do it just the same. I just hope the passanger realizes that she’s gotta pick a better group to be around expecially if she’s gonna have a baby. Just think if the baby was in the car….oh lets not. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families involved.
