A Concord man was injured in a shooting in Pittsburg on Wednesday night, a police lieutenant said today.

Officers responded to reports that someone had been shot in a residential area in the 300 block of West 11th Street around 10 p.m., Lt. Ron Raman said.

They arrived to find a man who had been shot in the shoulder. The victim, a 25-year-old Concord resident, “would not cooperate
relative to the shooting,” Raman said. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition. Witnesses reported that the shooter had fled in a vehicle, police said.

Raman said two other people were with the victim when the shooting occurred, but that police believe the 25-year-old was the intended target.

He said the victim has a prior criminal history in Pittsburg involving weapons and drugs. No one else was injured in the shooting, which remains under investigation.

If that POS won’t talk to the coppers don’t allow medical treatment!!!
As if he could or would pay for it! What a load of dog dirt!

I bet it was mutual shooting, and someone took his gun before the police arrived.

Guess he didn’t want to admit he was shot for a bad drug deal. I’m sure we all just paid for his hospital care.

I’m waiting for someone to start saying “Oh those silly Concord people coming over and ruining Pittsburg.”

Put him in jail until he talks.

Anon February 21, 2013 at 6:16 PM

Should be able to arrest him for being a scumbag.

Case closed due to lack of interest.

So he should be denied treatment for refusing to incriminate himself. Who needs a constitution? Hatred and anger is all that’s needed for the basis of law and government!

Dr. Pahp Samir February 22, 2013 at 12:23 AM

Doctor: OK, Where was he shot?
Nurse: Right in the residential area!

@anon #12:

Not if he has medical insurance. If he’s being treated on the public dime, treatment beyond life saving measures should be contingent on his cooperation with the investigation of the crime in which he was involved. Notice I didn’t say “crime which he committed”. That would be unconstitutional.

LOL the open door policy is unconstitutional you rabbits. Eat your carrots and stop babbleing on about things that you know not.
