Megan’s Law?

So, did they lock down all of the schools in the area and conduct a room by room search and general strip search? Oh wait, that’s the response to when a student draws a picture of a gun. Carry on.

Shuley February 15, 2013 at 3:39 PM

I was standing outside the school talking to the Principal when this went down. Weird. Great school, sketchy area, especially those apartments across the street.

Teacher wanabe February 15, 2013 at 3:40 PM

@anon. or uses a pretend gun to defeat evil.

Howard K. Mullins III February 15, 2013 at 4:09 PM

People are learning. Use a knife, lessen your jail time. No law against carrying a knife so lets all arm ourselves with knives until those are banned. Going to be tough to eat a steak. Going to have to be certified and sworn to use a knife safely in order to get a job as a salad server.

Anon2you February 15, 2013 at 4:35 PM

@HKM III – I see where you were going…but there are laws against carrying knives, so that is not exactly accurate. BUT nothing says I hate you like a good old fashion shanking…

ctown February 15, 2013 at 5:21 PM

Wow… What are the chances that this is drug related? And when they say home across the street from school, do they mean run down apartments? Good thing it was a stabbing and not a shooting i suppose. Just sucks that this kind of thing has to take place at all in our lovely city.

Howard K. Mullins III February 15, 2013 at 5:25 PM

@ Anon2you

True, up close and personal…

slagheap February 15, 2013 at 5:34 PM

@howardIII – whatever you say. now go back to the tube, or you’ll miss the last part of O’Reilly. don’t be afraid to doze off, we promise to set the alarm for Hannity.

I went to Monte Gardens and lived in that neighborhood so sad to hear…Concord isnt as safe as it once was. Still love this place “o)

Richards Family February 15, 2013 at 5:42 PM

Shuley that’s a great area, awesome school, but I will agree on those apartments across the street, they are few but still wierd)

Howard K. Mullins III February 15, 2013 at 5:52 PM

@ slagheap

Was I talking to you? Wassamatter, you lonely or something?

Well, I ain’t your friend, so go talk to someone else.

George February 15, 2013 at 6:34 PM

@slugheap

Actually Bill was not hosting tonight. Juan Williams did.

Also a brilliant gentleman on Hannity, Dr Benjamin Carson. Watch if you get a chance.

Shuley February 15, 2013 at 6:40 PM

@ Howard – Actually, there are laws against carrying certain kinds of knives..just like guns.. Why do you think attempted murder sentencing guidelines are any different if using a knife rather than a gun?

anon February 15, 2013 at 7:34 PM

I know the person that did the stabbing and I can see him being a career criminal.

Cracky McGee February 15, 2013 at 8:34 PM

I agree with Shuley … Great school, sketchy area

morgan February 15, 2013 at 11:40 PM

every one of u are rediculous for this the kid needs help not people like u running him down an the victim is ok..lets remember u dont no the hole situation just what this claycord site says..

Kirk February 16, 2013 at 10:46 AM

The knife laws in cal are very liberal. They throw a vagary in in a definition of the straight knife non-folding. But you may carry a folding knife of any length concealed on your person read that as “in your pocket.” If you lock the blade you may not conceal it. A good choice is the cold steel voyager.

Straight knives would vary mostly by what you were doing with it when the cop stops you. However you may wear a knife of any length if worn open at the waist. This was from the cal DOJ website last time I looked. Also means that if you want to walk around with a Bowie knife you can. I sometimes do.

A Bowie and a can of pepper spray are a devastating combo in defense. Sort of a cross between a cougar and a skunk. I’d leave it alone.

Jeff February 16, 2013 at 10:47 AM

Morgan, you need to grow up and stop defending him. He attacked someone with a knife. Used “deadly force”.

He should be damned happy he didn’t pull a knife on the wrong person.

And Howard at #6 – I agree, in CA you will get far more punishment for using a gun than a knife. However, I disagree that crooks are wising up – that would mean they are following the laws already on the books! The Democrats can’t allow that, or they’ll lose steam on their gun confiscation plans!!!

Anon February 16, 2013 at 10:59 AM

Since the kid used a knife instead of a gun it will likely end up as assault with a deadly weapon not attempted murder. But that would depend where he stabbed the guy and how many times. Wounding people with guns is more by accident than intent. He also avoids charges of carrying a gun and using a gun in commission of a crime, if that applies in non-robbery situations. Too bad he could’t just punch the guy in the mouth then he wouldn’t be going to prison at all.

Even if he doesn’t go to jail the lawsuit for the hospital bills will surly empty his college fund. Haha

sillyfilly454 February 16, 2013 at 12:47 PM

Wait for the facts people. Who knows, maybe it was a matter of self defense & he won’t be charged at all….. Doubtful- but possible. If it was over drugs or a robbery or domestic violence- holla when you form the lynch mob!

anon February 16, 2013 at 1:33 PM

wow

Anon February 16, 2013 at 2:10 PM

Actually even in a “self defense” situation, if you stab someone who isn’t armed with a leathal weapon, you are still going to jail. Even if his opponent was armed with a knife odds are both will be going to jail. The courts don’t look kindly on any young man with a knife. I’d go shopping for lawyers, the court appointed ones are hit and miss.

mama5x February 17, 2013 at 4:23 AM

I agree with Morgan people shoudnt judge until they know
The facts…and to the person that says they know the person
And he is a career criminal well u really don’t know what your talking
Talkin about. I have known this person longer then any of
You and he truly has a loving heart he has medical issues
My prayers to both involved.

Phillip from Clayton February 17, 2013 at 9:13 AM

@mama5x #25…..

A career criminal? A “loving heart”? Medical issues? Stabbing of another?

Something doesn’t add up.

In any case, the individual is a menace to society.

mamax1 February 17, 2013 at 11:46 AM

I just don’t understand how you ” people” can come on here and judge someone you don’t even know. What if it was your son, brother, dad, uncle, grandpa ext. I know u all won’t be on here judging then. I’m sure people with reply with my family would never do that never say never. Under some situations things can happen. It could be and accident, self defense, or medical issues. I don’t get people how u can judge before knowing the whole story. You guys are just judging over the smallest details grow up..

Cowellian February 17, 2013 at 12:41 PM

Morgan, try that again, using real words, and in English, this time.

And mamax1, we talk about the smallest details, like someone stabbing another person. I’m sure the stabber appreciates the support from all the enablers and apologists who have taken up his cause.

mamax5 February 18, 2013 at 7:13 AM

most of you people have no idea what your talkin about. and one day you will be judged yourself then what.? I fully support the victum and you would be amazed to know how the victum feels about the situation.

mamax5 February 18, 2013 at 7:51 AM

Connie Dobbs February 18, 2013 at 9:00 AM

Sounds like you’re judging right now, mama.
