A 23-year-old Antioch man has been arrested for armed robbery in the City of Pleasant Hill, according to Police.
Joseph Dukes was taken into custody earlier this week in Antioch for the January 27th armed robbery outside of the Wells Fargo Bank ATM on Contra Costa Boulevard.
The victim claimed Dukes came up from behind him at about 7:15pm, put a gun to his back and demanded money. When the victim refused, a fight broke out and the victim & suspect both fled. The victim was able to get a license plate number of a waiting vehicle, and later that day, two other people, who were with Dukes at the time of the robbery, were arrested. Dukes wasn’t located and arrested until February 1st.
Today, the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office charged Dukes with armed robbery. Dukes is also the main suspect in two other armed robberies, which occurred the same night in Bay Point & Pacheco.
