Way to many wonderful things (and a whole lot of new challenges, as well). But for the sake of the “Water Cooler”, I will say I made a wonderful new friend this year. Right here on Claycord :)

I really can’t think of just “one” thing. Business at our company is really booming….:-)

And I have good health, friends, and family.

Toss up between meeting a wonderful new man and getting a second grandchild. ;)

17 Equal Rights January 1, 2013 at 4:45 PM

JUST MAYBE the city can get there shit together and work on WHERE FAMILIES COME FIRST and not the political BS. SPEND OUR TAX DOLLARS WISELY. NO NEW City Vheicles including the PD, NO new Events which we can not afford, No new Play grounds take care of what we have first. NO more BS plastic fences around the Masonic Arts building which you can’t maintasin, fix my POT HOLES and no more new street lights.

Edi, the best thing about 2012 WAS YOU GETTING ELECTED.

19 Cowellian January 1, 2013 at 7:37 PM

A lot of good things happened, but the most recent thing is the one that sticks in my mind. My son visited us for Christmas and introduced us to his fiancé. While they were here, we, and my brothers and sisters-in-law got to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert.

Interesting that there are only 22 comments, compared to the over 100 we see on many blogs. Best thing for us – my hubby and I found out that we are going to be grandparents for the first time!

That I’m still with my beloved wife.

We can do the silly wife jokes, I’m just grateful for who I am Where I am and What I am.

I am thankful for claycord. Maybe this is supposed to be thanksgiving instead of new years, but I’ll ramble. Am thankful for the people here

26 Mr. John January 2, 2013 at 12:17 AM

Like the past 5 or so, it was a rough year in many ways – but the best thing about it was the woman I spent every day loving. My amazing wife. It was also nice for our puppy to start sleeping through th entire night…

27 CatM January 2, 2013 at 5:36 AM

Not working 6 days a week. Social Security kicked in June. Now I am only working 4 1/2 days per week. Hurray! Looking forward to 2013 :-)

I learned a new skill at work, and did a project for another part of my company.

I got to be a model in The Story, http://www.thestoryinart.org , and met some new folks, and lived the life of a theatre person.

29 nytemuvr January 2, 2013 at 7:46 AM

It was for sure not the presidential election…

30 Connie Dobbs January 2, 2013 at 8:02 AM

Maybe it’s been a tough year, GG.

31 The Oracle January 2, 2013 at 8:38 AM

Aside from the SF Giants spectacular season, 2012 sucked the Big Wazoo. Better hang onto the handlebars kids, it looks like a bumpy road ahead too!

32 Jeff January 2, 2013 at 8:55 AM

The best thing about 2012 is that it’s over.

What a terrible year.

Here’s to 2013, hoping it is better!

These past years of recession have taught me how much happier I am, with Less.

36 Mrs. A January 2, 2013 at 1:16 PM

It was a very quiet, non-eventful year and not losing any family or friends was the best!!! Hoping 2013 is just as quiet.

37 RanchgirlCA January 2, 2013 at 2:49 PM

Continued employment and increased workload for self employeed spouse. Continued good health of family. I’m always glad to wake in the morning. We continue to miss those we lost, most especially a dear friend who was the kind of man/person we should all try to be.
