flooding

The streets flooded in downtown Concord on Tuesday night after a water main burst near the corner of Salvio & Mt. Diablo.

No more details are available, but we’re hearing no major damage was reported.

Thanks to Craig Cannon for the photo from the scene!

Let it set, it will be frozen by morning and we can have a skate rink down town!

They had an Army of Equiptment showing up down there. I’m told its about a 12″ Main. The Cold Weather is a suspect, as it causes many things to happen, one of which is tree roots constricting up. The Contra Costa Water Crew was also aware of folks finishing thier meals tonight, and they waited for them to finish, and possibly permits. The break is right in front of Peets Coffee, on the Salvio side.
