Thanks to JR in Walnut Creek for capturing this very important moment in a squirrel’s life.
These pictures are adorable.
Like that is fair fight. Now squirrel vs haunted scary pumpkin, that would be good!
Absolutely precious!!! Awesome pictures!!
That’s going to be one fat and happy squirrel.
Great pictures. Wonder what would happen if my dogs got to watch this on video? Or live?
It looks like the Squirrel won! 🙂
Priceless. Love it!
Oh, and thanks for the shots JR. They’re awesome!
Feed the squirrels! They eat my sunflower by hanging upside down, the corn they nibble leaving the ears and cob still on the stalk..oh and they pick the apricot tree barren. The poor little things are just happy Democrats, eating for free what others have produced! Ok. I just couldn’t resist
Cute picture, and my true enjoyment watching them play in the yard.
Beautiful pictrure! Thank you!
I saw a happy squirrel happily hunched up on his hind legs taking a drink out of a sprinkler head (a turned off one) today. It was a Kodak moment, but I had no camera on me.
A cute way to recycle a leftover pumkin. Loved the pictures JR, thank you.
Thanks! I sooooo needed that today! Too cute!
This made my day! Thanks for posting something so cute!
Very cute! Thanks JR.
He won the squirrel lottery….mega pumpkin style!!
I had a squirrel do the same thing to a pumpkin in my yard last year. This year we found the seeds that had been stashed in the lawn sprouting. Replanted and got 3 small pumpkins!
The squirrels used to eat through my plastic bird feeders. So I bought a $30 all metal bird feeder. Boy did I fool them!! This feeder holds #5 of food. Now they jump on the feeder and throw all the seeds on the ground. And I swear they laugh at me when I chase them away.
I saw on TV once that squirrels will eat pumpkins that have been sitting out “fermenting” and they actually get drunk!!!!
Peter, Peter, . . .
Awesome pictures! Thanks JR. So nice to wake up to pictures like this now a days! Happy Friday everyone 🙂
What great pictures. I have a squirrel that sits outside the storm door on the porch and puts his nose on the glass…the kitty sits inside with her nose on the glass…I wonder what would happen if the glass wasn’t there. Hmmm….I have a pumpkin here on the counter…I think I’ll put it out there on the patio…hehehe…so much fun to see if ol Gray Squirrel will dig a hole in it. lol.
Thanks for posting such a great thread and the great pictures…love it. 😀 😀
Nice! Great shots!!!
Luv it…too cute!
Another pumpkin bites the dust 🙂
So Stinkin cute!
You rubes have it all wrong. This is typical squirrel behavior after having eaten too many fermented Pyracantha berries. Simply put, the Fox Squirrel (Sciurus Scamperus) is hung over.
Photo # 1. Feeling woozy.
Photo # 2. Vomits into pumpkin.
Photo # 3. Flosses with a pumpkin seed.
Gary, funny, but you ruined my enjoyment, as photo 2 …. just too much.
But now I know what happened to my pumpkin patch this year. There were little holes in three pumpkins.
Now that is cute!
Awesome pictures, it make me smile!!
Wish he had come over to my place. We had several pumpkins out and lots of squirrels but I guess they weren’t interested. We are trying to train the head squirrel (we call her Betty) to return all the lost tennis balls (etc) from the trees and bushes. While playing catch with junior this week one ball came down from a tree onto the driveway. So we put out two almonds that were quickly snatched up. Now if we could just make the connection. I’m willing to pay two almonds for each ball, come on Betty, let’s get together on this.
Love it. Wished I had known they liked pumpkins and I would have given them my carved Jack O’Lantern after Halloween. My squirrels come right up to me when I go outside and I give them peanuts, which they take one by one and run and bury. By the way, Bob H. after many so called squirrel-proof birdfeeders, I finally bought one that works-all metal, with a weight-triggered shelf. I hung it on a treestake and they can’t get up under it or climb down from the sloping roof. They just eat what the birds messily thrown down.
Sooooo cute! Thank you for share.
I always said my Aunt Edwina’s pumpkin pies tasted like barf. Now I’m really beginning to wonder.
