A vehicle was located on Wednesday morning, overturned, in the creek on Bel Air Drive in Concord.

Sources say nobody was inside the vehicle when it was discovered this morning.

Thanks to Lindsey for the pictures!

Really Officer, my car was stolen! October 31, 2012 at 8:41 AM

Um. Good Morning Officer, what’s up?

Sir, do know where your red car is?

Why, it’s parked outside, look. Oh my, it’s GONE! Someone musta stolen it!

Sir, do you know where your keys are? The keys are in the ignition. Did you give anyone permission to drive your car?

Um,…no…um. I was home all night,….

Sir, we have information that you were seen late last night at the bar…and Sir, have you been drinking this morning, you sure look tore up..

and the owner is still missing…. House wide open.. hmmmmm

ConcordCatLady October 31, 2012 at 9:04 AM

My guess is someone was drinking, didn’t see that curve, wound up in the ditch and ran home.

Anonymom October 31, 2012 at 9:08 AM

Anon you know the owner?

EdiBirsan October 31, 2012 at 9:19 AM

I think that the Corn Snake left it when he was looking for an Olive Garden near there and ran away from the police cars because he was trying to hide his middle name.

#1’s explanation seems the most likely.

Cowellian October 31, 2012 at 10:00 AM

Not all off-road vehicles are created equal.

bduns October 31, 2012 at 10:04 AM

some drunk got really lucky. actually, everyone got lucky the dumbass only took out his own car.

rob October 31, 2012 at 10:30 AM

What do you mean I cant park here?

bluebird October 31, 2012 at 10:33 AM

As always, you take first place Cowellian! I was on my way home this morning and saw this car on the tow truck. We commented that it was sure muddy and messed up. Now we know what happened. Or, at least part of the story.

I really do hope that the driver and any passengers are not injured.

That being said, is David Rosen in jail yet? If he is, we have a copy cat driver running around town who just lost his ride.

Mac October 31, 2012 at 11:26 AM

Bummer, i thought it would float

@ EdiBirsan October 31, 2012 at 11:29 AM

You crack me up!
Thanks for my morning laugh.

Dragon October 31, 2012 at 12:20 PM

@Abe and @Edi – good ones!

12ga October 31, 2012 at 12:21 PM

@EdiBirsan you wouldn’t be hinting at your middle name would you? lol

Lacy October 31, 2012 at 12:24 PM

Its always funny when it isn’t related to you. What if was an elderly driver ?What if it were your Mother , Brother , cousin , Father, neighbor,Brother,Sister,or maybe just maybe it could be you !! Please people, lets all be human.Instead of sinisterly sarcastic. I have learned in life that….
no one will get anywhere being so insensitive.

babytruck October 31, 2012 at 1:41 PM

I think maybe people are joking about BECAUSE nobody was found around it, meaning it’s probably non injury.

Screwy Louie October 31, 2012 at 1:54 PM

Lighten up Francis (Lacy)

@ Lacy October 31, 2012 at 2:25 PM

Agree with babytruck, people are joking about it because no one appears to have gotten hurt, and chances are about 99%, that whomever put the car in the creek was doing something they shouldn’t have (otherwise, they would have stuck around right?) And it is funny, Rob’s response was a hoot!

LinzerTorte October 31, 2012 at 2:28 PM

More like, “is David Rosen walking the green mile yet?” That intelligence-challenged, trashy little boy got off waaaaaay too easy. But I digress…

Neighbor October 31, 2012 at 3:59 PM

The persons home was broken into and there purse stolen. The burglar stole both of there cars and one of them ended up in the creek. That is all that is known so far.

Cowellian October 31, 2012 at 4:09 PM

Edi, tell it again, but slower this time. Lacy didn’t get it the first time.

anon October 31, 2012 at 4:53 PM

@22
that’s horrible. hope they catch the peole who broke into your neighbor’s home.

Neighbor October 31, 2012 at 4:59 PM

Thank you, me too! The neighborhood suspects a homeless man who disappeared for a while but is now back. The last time the neighborhood had a vehicle broken into and he was seen doing it. The police said there wasn’t enough evidence.

Gomer October 31, 2012 at 5:10 PM

Cars will do that if the radiator goes dry. Seen it before. Dyin of thirst & jus have to get some water, poor little thang just layin there with it’s radiator cap in the mud. Driver’s fault. Shame, shame shame!
