October 25, 2012 21:17 pm · 48 comments

Concord Police just arrived on the scene of a double stabbing at 1133 Meadow Lane, which is just off Monument Boulevard.

The victims apparently knew their attacker, and police believe they know the location of the suspect.

This happened at about 9:05pm, so we’re still working on getting details. Stay tuned for more.

Thanks to “Bosco” for the tip!

UPDATE: According to the Concord Police, the stabbing occurred in front of 1133 Meadow Lane.  There were two victims. One 16 and one 32, and both received non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say they know the suspect and they were arguing with the suspect just before 9pm when a fight broke out and the suspect allegedly stabbed both victims.

The suspect is a 44-year-old homeless white male, who is known to police. As of right now, he has not been located.

UPDATE: The suspect has been arrested.

Holy S**t! This is were I live! Not happy about this. These people probably don’t live here. Gonna go see if I can find out anything.

2 Ian October 25, 2012 at 9:34 PM

Just drove by, there are about 10 police cars, an ambulance just leaving, and they’re taping off 3 star liquor.

3 annon October 25, 2012 at 9:37 PM

Anyone else having trouble with their scanners?

4 bunny October 25, 2012 at 9:53 PM

A homeless guy who has been breaking into apt. and cars around the neighborhood stabbed two people who are related to a resident. The actual attack started at the convenience store across from 1133 Meadow Lane. We have been trying to get him for some time. Now he’ll be in difficulty for this.We work so hard to help this complex and it’s much better. Then someone who doesn’t live here comes in and makes trouble. Must besven or eight cop cars out front. There is also a homeless guy in our complex buying drugs in here. Trying to get him out, too. What fun.

5 Sundown October 25, 2012 at 10:07 PM

No surprise here.
@ bunny #4, Do I understand you right? You want to get rid of the homeless guy buying drugs in your complex, but you have no concern about who is selling the drugs?

6 Ian October 25, 2012 at 10:31 PM

Are you talking about the 1 legged wheel chair guy that constantly yells at people and cars when he “j walks” straight into oncoming traffic?

7 bunny October 25, 2012 at 10:43 PM

Oh, you bet I do. Someone spoke of this last night at the meeting. And someone else mentioned who may be supplying the drugs. That will be dealt with, too. There are others in here doing the same. and they will all be thrown out in due time.

8 bunny October 25, 2012 at 11:29 PM

Yeah, this guy is in a wheelchair. I don’t know him and don’t want to. The issue came up last night at the homeowners annual meeting. Someone says he is buying drugs from someone in here. There are several places he can do that. We are working to get rid of these people.

9 bunny October 25, 2012 at 11:35 PM

Sundown: No response? Of course, the homeowners in here want rid of all the bad guys. We have thrown many out of here. We stopped letting new owners rent their units in 2006 but they still try anyway. We get them out as we find out about them. New gates are about a month away. Probably will have to hire security, too.

10 lady gaga October 25, 2012 at 11:50 PM

i wonder what started the fight… were there any witnesses… everyone knows there are three sides to every story. his, theirs and the truth…. what happened to the homeless guy for him to snap. i will pray gore both the victims and the suspect… violence in the streets is getting worse by the day and the attackers are getting younger. very sad but so true. doing something with the younger generation to eliminate violence and keep the peace vs. turning them all into manic teenagers on drugs with nothing better to do than going around punking homeless people. awful to think this is what our next generation is turning into. if anyone saw plz comment. god bless

11 Angela October 25, 2012 at 11:55 PM

Did I read this correctly? A dude with one leg in a wheelchair stabbed two guys and was not immediately located by police? Awesome

12 bunny October 26, 2012 at 12:12 AM

Yea! They got him. I knew they would. The police know who he is. Glad he is off the street. Now for the guy in the wheelchair…It’s just a matter of time.

13 11B October 26, 2012 at 12:26 AM

yeeeeeeeeahhhhhhh……….about that……….that area has been a crime area for a long while now. Sadly I lived there a long time ago and my car was broken into …..for the 75 cents that was next to the shifter….that was it. the church over there gets broken into all the time…..a church……really? oh if only vigilante justice was legal……if only. lol

14 Ian October 26, 2012 at 12:38 AM

No, I don’t think the wheel chair guy was the stabber, just another potentially homeless drug user. Wheel chair guy doesn’t fit the description. I was referring to the line
“There is also a homeless guy in our complex buying drugs in here. Trying to get him out, too. What fun.”

15 0417 October 26, 2012 at 12:43 AM

Is he the guy that in a wheelchair but has both legs he punches himself around with one leg nd da other leg tuc under him? nd doesn’t wear shoes? His like Asian or Pacific Islander?

16 lady gaga October 26, 2012 at 1:01 AM

oh my god for real enough about the guy in the wheel chair. not only is he homeless but he has a disorder that he is also struggling with every day. i can’t believe people are making un of a harmless homeless cripple in a wheelchair. and worse yet he has nothing to do with the da#n stabbing anyways. i herd the two boys started beating the homeless man with a bat when he retaliated. maybe its safer with the bullies off the streets as well.

17 foreverdippin October 26, 2012 at 1:13 AM

Well i have lived at 1133 meadow ln for a total of 12 and a 1/2 years and all i can sayIS THAT THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT MAKES ALOT OF FALSE ACCUSATIONS bout some people due to past history and they target people when they have never even steped foot in the unit nor have they ever had a kind word to say to certian tenants. So really before people post a bunch of hear say they should have all there fACTS CORRECT

18 capt. kah October 26, 2012 at 1:25 AM

VICTIMs, really !?!?!???????….. try more like ” the.actual attackers that thought they could win but instead got stabbed”

19 Role Models October 26, 2012 at 3:10 AM

I saw a Gaucho-looking dude yesterday walking across Reganti with a goat. I am serious; a GOAT with a rope for a leash, jay walking from Diablo lanes to El Rancho…
Hell, in a hand basket!!!

20 Curious October 26, 2012 at 4:41 AM

[sarcasm]
I wonder if the police have any idea who this could be.

21 JRConcord October 26, 2012 at 6:34 AM

Question. Is the guy in the chair the suspect or victim? I know of this guy and he is a waste of oxygen. I had him arrested off my property a while back when he was in our driveway laying on the ground( in his own waste) screaming about me being a racist. Im not racist I dont like people that steal and use our parking area as a toilet. Now we need to get rid of the guy and his girl camping next to food max on Virginaia lane. Hes the tall dirty white guy. sort of bald with bushy beard. hes always buying his big bottle of king cobra at about 6 am when I goto the store.
Where do i find out who own this property so we can make complaints to get rid of this camp on private property. I thought camping next public streets was illegal.

22 Joe A October 26, 2012 at 8:01 AM

I recently moved to Concord. For the most part, Concord is pretty good. The one complaint I have though and this is coming from someone that has lived all over, is that there is a MASSIVE homeless population and underground community here, way disproportionate to its size. It seems so odd. I don’t know why Concord doesn’t do anything about it. In crime theory, they discovered that “broken windows” in abandoned properties actually help to reinforce criminal behavior by pulling down the community spirit and making it seem acceptable to be a deviant. So cities actually repaired them and touched up the outsides with the wonderful effect that crime dropped massively in those areas. I say it is the same with a large, visible homeless population. If Concord doesn’t address this issue then all it can expect is decline. It is an albatross on the community, especially one hoping to expand through the Naval weapons station.

23 NoMoreFreeRide October 26, 2012 at 8:31 AM

That harmless wheel chair guy almost caused a major accident at Four Corners the other night. He was crossing the street against the light at night wearing all black. He needs to be arrested before someone gets killed.

24 Granny October 26, 2012 at 8:42 AM

You know how to handle a wheelchair pest? Just butter his wheels. He won’t be able to get around to be a bother.

25 Teacher Wannabe October 26, 2012 at 10:45 AM

I know when they catch him DA Peterson will deal with him harshly. Stick it to him Mark!

26 lady gaga October 26, 2012 at 11:12 AM

CHECK IT OUT…. why all the talk about the guy in the wheelchair. which numb skull brought him up. what happened to the guys from the stabbing. who is it? what’s their status ? do they have the right person in custody ?

27 Section 8 October 26, 2012 at 11:14 AM

BAN “Section 8″ in Concord.

But no.

Our gutless S*hitty Council will spend $64,000 on a plastic fence, but not challenge a ridiculous “law” that only leads to degradation of our city.

Hey, Kumar, saw your signs with OBullS*itter…guess who ain’t getting three votes…

Tax the OCCUPIERS at 99% (then they really WILL be 99 percenters.
Raise the Property taxes of OCCUPIERS.
FORCE OCCUPIERS to open their homes for the “homeless”.

You Do-gooders need to start doing some good; fix the problems you’ve caused.

Don’t know if he has two legs, but yeah, that’s the guy.
NoMoreFreeRide
He pulls that crap all the time and then yells at the cars for being there. He’s extremely rude and annoying. Sorry your in a wheel chair, but it doesn’t mean you have to be a dick and put others in danger.

29 Howard K Mullins III October 26, 2012 at 11:27 AM

I don’t think it matters if the guy is in a wheel chair or not. IF he cut those two other fellows with intent to murder, then, once convicted, be punished as an attempted murderer. If the attacker is a insane, which is too easily proven these days, then he should be off the streets where he can no longer harm others.

The real trouble lies with the bleeding heart criminal system and prison system. IF this guy in the wheel chair did attempt to murder the two other men, the bleeding hearts around here will feel sorry for him and want him set free. Now that’s insanity.

30 Mutts October 26, 2012 at 11:39 AM

For awhile I thought the stabber got away on the FREE bus.

31 anon October 26, 2012 at 11:48 AM

The perp was not the guy in the wheelchair. He’s a new problem. There are several places in shamrock that use and sell meth or other terrible substances. The guy who stabbed the other two has been trying to break into apts.in the neighborhood. He was known to the people he stabbed.I have my facts straight. Everyone in here knows who is trouble and who is not.I went out there last night to find out. These people know each other. they have lived here less than a year. The wheelchair guy will be have to leave, too. He’s getting drugs in here. Time for all the sellers to move on. The management and board are aware of who is doing this stuff and they will be out, too. Your not one of them are you?

32 anon October 26, 2012 at 11:50 AM

Howard: The guy in the wheelchair was not involved. It was someone else and he has been captured. Hope he goes away for a long time but probably not.

33 anon October 26, 2012 at 11:54 AM

34 Rum Runner October 26, 2012 at 11:58 AM

Oh Granny #24 you are a hoot. Just butter his wheels… rotflmao…
I wish I had a piece of hard candy to give to you, or a individually wrapped prune. I love you.

35 Howard K Mullins III October 26, 2012 at 12:07 PM

The alleged attacker was not in wheel chair. Thank you for correcting me.

The alleged attacker (once convicted) is one of those who should be banished, if we had that sort of law.

He’s just not the sort of person we need walking on the streets with the rest of us. He has proven that by slicing up two guys. Send him to Niger, let him live his life in the edge of the Sahara where there is little law and no bleeding hearts to protect him.

36 bunny October 26, 2012 at 7:40 PM

Yes. The people in the stabbing incident all know each other. The stabber has been burglarizing apts. in the neighborhood. The stabber has been apprehended. The injured people do not have life threatening injuries. One of their relatives lives in here. Regarding the fellow in the wheelchair, he has been getting drugs in here for awhile. He’s sleeping in the corner of Lot #1 . At least, he was a while ago. That’s not going to continue. The people who own property here are not paying for a drug sanctuary for homeless drug addicts.

37 bunny October 26, 2012 at 7:51 PM

Anon: You are correct. It is ridiculously easy to spot the people who do this stuff. Everyone else just knows. Many people have been thrown out of here for this over time. Tenants and owners both. Anyone remember the Maria Elena Murders? They had a restaurant in the old shopping center on the corner. One of their foster sons had a thriving drug business going out of their unit in here. The D. A. forced them to sell and move on. They moved and the Restaurant, too. About six months later the Mother and Sister were followed home and murdered by some of the sons pals, I guess. They were caught. This is not new. This kind of stuff happens all over the country. What people are doing is getting security and gates. Hope we get both.

38 bunny October 26, 2012 at 7:57 PM

You should be able to get info on who owns what property at the hall of records.I guess that’s ccounty offices. I just found out about the homeless encampment. We’ll have to push to get rid of that, too. It never ends.

39 bunny October 26, 2012 at 8:01 PM

Yeah, I’ve seen the goat on Meadow Lane a couple of times. Don’t know what that’s about. Except that people bring there habits with them when they come here. Some things don’t go. I don’t know if this person is breaking any laws, though.

40 goatman October 27, 2012 at 1:12 AM

I believe Concord falls under the Agricultural city category. So the goat is likely 100% legal given it has proper care. Correct me if I am wrong though! That is the only way to know you were wrong in the first place!

Hey that looks like a great recipe! but don’t hate on the goat, he doesn’t have the luxury of choosing his own company!!

46 s concord October 30, 2012 at 11:56 PM

all of you in Shamrock dont know about the triple murder that occured there in 1986
An entire family stabbed including 3 yr old.The meth element still lives there and concord loves homeless and latinos cause they all spend money in their stores so they dont want to lose any tax revinue
Concord only cares about its elite that live in ivory towers and never deal with life at ground level in Concord

47 s concord October 31, 2012 at 12:06 AM

Any city that has 30.000 people in a 1 square mile area is not there for its peoples best interests. It is there to stock pile people for to spend spend spend.
They do phoney stories of cleaning up homeless camps but just the ones that people can see and its maybe 10 people out of several hundred homeless that generate constant crime by theft and keeps the police falsely busy and keeps the whole phoney town revolving. It could be a nice city if they cleaned it up but they would need to write tickets all day to make up for the lack of bodies spending in retail stores. The jail always packed and the DA 6 months behind. Why ???Its all fake busy work.It was a nice city.I
