Train Control Testing on BART to Create Minor Delays Between WC & PH

The Contra Costa County Crossover Project will conduct additional testing beginning on Friday, October 12th at 9pm.

Friday evening beginning at 9pm there will be single track service between Lafayette and Pleasant Hill stations. On Saturday, the testing of the new train control system will require that the trains run in “Road Manual” between Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill in both directions which will result in 5 to 10 minute delays for passengers.

BART expects to complete the testing by Saturday night, October 13th, and return to normal operations on Sunday, October 14th.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO; do it after the system closes. I’m sick and tired of the nightmare commute home on Fridays and these 15 minute days due to track maintenance are totally unreasonable on a Friday night.
