Firefighters from Martinez, Pacheco, Concord, Clayton, Pleasant Hill & Walnut Creek are battling a house fire on Trinity Place in Martinez.

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the roof.

They’re currently in the process of searching the inside of the home and trying to extinguish the flames.

The fire started at about 11:15 on Saturday night.

UPDATE, 11:29pm: The fire is almost out.

UPDATE, 11:36pm: Most of the blaze has been extinguished. Firefighters originally thought one person was inside the house, but they apparently found the person unharmed.

There’s no word yet on the cause of the blaze, but we’re hearing it destroyed a good portion of the home.

UPDATE, 12:25am: Three people and two dogs were displaced due to this fire. The Red Cross is assisting the family with housing.
