great job to both the Nordstorms loss prevention staff, and the Walnut Creek Police!

I foresee a slap on the wrist. Glad they were caught and nobody was hurt. Sounds like this is isn’t these folks’ first rodeo (career criminals). Too bad the D.A. isn’t prosecuting criminals anymore, I’d like to see some real punishments and consequences for those stealing from society.

The guy on the right looks like a character out of a Batman movie.

8 mortimer February 27, 2012 at 7:02 AM

While they’ve been arrested, I hope the parents of each one is arrested along with them. Losers of society…

9 Anon2 February 27, 2012 at 7:41 AM

It sounds to me like a whole lot of identity theft too.

10 Concernicus February 27, 2012 at 8:07 AM

one of those men was beaten thoroughly and mercilessly with the ugly stick.

11 K-7 February 27, 2012 at 8:26 AM

12 Adam Henry February 27, 2012 at 8:27 AM

Like I said, there’s no substitute for actual Police patrols.

14 mike mac February 27, 2012 at 9:00 AM

Faces only a mother could love……Some UGLY SOBs there. Should have purchase some cosmetics while there were buying the cards.

15 CJ February 27, 2012 at 9:15 AM

@Adam Henry:
So they apprehended these guys while on routine patrol? They weren’t responding to a report from Nordstrom like the story indicated?

@ugh:
These guys were from over the hill. Ever heard of the grapevine?

16 Very good Adam henry February 27, 2012 at 9:28 AM

The DUI check points are at night and they arrested these clowns at 415 .But you keep up the good works alerting us to the evils of DUI checkpoints. Oh and by the way why dont you tell us about the check point and what happened to you last year. How are your insurance rates now,Adam Henry?

17 shopper February 27, 2012 at 9:53 AM

Well they look like the common walnut creek nordstrom shoppers! Not obvious at all! lol. No offense, but try maybe SF or someplace with more diversity. I bet loss prevention had their eyes on them from the moment they walked through the door. Still doesn’t beat the idiots from Antioch who shot off a gun and tried shoplifting from JC Penneys, dumb!

18 Ick February 27, 2012 at 9:53 AM

We send water down south and then send scum up north. Neet.

19 Just keeping it real February 27, 2012 at 10:12 AM

I think we all can agree that Adam Henry is a skidmark on the underpants of the claycord society

20 Dd February 27, 2012 at 10:22 AM

Why does the 34 year old look like a 64 year old??? Talk about rough life, our see what drugs do…

21 FoReal February 27, 2012 at 10:31 AM

Was this related to crystal meth?

22 anon February 27, 2012 at 10:43 AM

i’m with shopper; these guys must have stood out like a sore thumb in Nordstrom’s. Glad they caught these schmucks. Hopefully, they won’t be back on the street in two seconds doing the same thing.

23 this guy February 27, 2012 at 10:43 AM

Glad to see the hoodlums aren’t from the bay area.

24 Larry, Curly 'n Moe February 27, 2012 at 10:44 AM

I’m curious about their previous arrest records. Anyone know if JARMAR is related to Zinquesha?

25 anon February 27, 2012 at 11:02 AM

Gee, I wonder how they were spotted . . . they look like your average Nordstrom’s shopper, don’t they?

26 Adam Henry February 27, 2012 at 11:23 AM

LOL #16,
Would that be the Checkpoint that never happened and an old man drove across the center divider on treat blvd and killed a pedestrian. Yeah, what exactly was His punishment for driving drunk and murdering someone: NOTHING

My name fits, and my comments get plenty of knee jerk responses from you clowns. I’ll keep playing.

#15, Would they have caught them at an Illegal checkpoint? NO.
Next question.

27 To Adam henry February 27, 2012 at 11:39 AM

Tell us about what happened (unconstitutionally no doubt)to you at the checkpoint.

28 SomeGuy February 27, 2012 at 11:48 AM

I bet they were out in an hour and well on their way to Portland…

29 Newman February 27, 2012 at 12:16 PM

Not your typical Nordstrom shoppers, agreed.

As mentioned, that 34 year-old does look 64. Hard living, as mentioned. Well, most likely abuse of hard drugs and alcohol over many years.

This has to be a third strike for those guys.

30 Ron Sauce February 27, 2012 at 1:19 PM

Sweet tap dancing jeebus what kind of substance makes a person look like these guys? Crackamphetoheroin?

31 Screwy Louie February 27, 2012 at 2:46 PM

Hey ODB, dat you?

32 Concord Occupation February 27, 2012 at 3:25 PM

All these people are doing is “spreading the wealth around”. Nordstrom is part of the 1% elite that is stealing from the 99%.

This is a victimless crime – and some would hardly consider it a crime at all. Once he is re-elected, I wouldn’t be suprised if President Obama invited these poor people to the White House in recognition of what THEY have endured at the hands of the 1% elite. As Joe Biden said to the 1% – time to ante up.

33 Jim February 27, 2012 at 3:40 PM

Theyll be out in two days. The guy in Livermore punched a cop and in two days he was arrested again breaking in a home.

34 ugly mofo's February 27, 2012 at 5:17 PM

The guy on the right looks like a snapping turtle.

35 CJ February 27, 2012 at 5:51 PM

Hey Adam Henry, if I tell people that Nazi’s are coming to raid their houses and steal their children, I can get a lot of knee jerk reactions too!

36 Ancient Mariner February 27, 2012 at 6:57 PM

I think the guy on the right is smart: he’s arching his eyebrows and dropping his jaw as far as he can without opening his mouth. It makes him look like he has a long, thin face to make the mug-shot less accurate.

37 Living in Claycord February 27, 2012 at 8:31 PM

For all of you saying that these guys do no look like the typical Nordstrom shopper – it is obvious that you have not been in that store lately. I was there the week before Christmas and was shocked at all the dirty and ripped clothing worn by the younger shoppers. Oh yeah, the pants around the knees, too. Nordies is becoming as ghetto as any other retail place that will allow anyone in to spend their money. It should be interesting to see how Nieman Marcus keeps them out.

38 Cassius Clayton February 27, 2012 at 8:33 PM

Interesting idea Ancient Mariner… seems obvious now that you said it. Wonder if it works?

39 anon February 27, 2012 at 10:21 PM

To Concord Occupation: This is Not a victimless crime. What these men and many others like them do is buy these gift cards with stolen credit cards, purchase hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise and then return it ASAP for cash. Forget how that clearly might hurt Nordstrom as a company, therefore passing financial burden onto any customers (whom you clearly wouldn’t care about) that salesperson they purchased all of that clothing from–who more than likely is part of your 99%–gets that return counted against their commission, which is their livelyhood. The salespeople at Nordstrom are victims in this crime as well as whatever innocent person is having their credit thrashed and identity stolen. rethink what you are spouting up there on your pedestal.

40 mika February 27, 2012 at 10:29 PM

What happened to the third one’s face?

41 J February 28, 2012 at 8:33 AM

The third person is what we call a character actor.
