A man was robbed at the Wells Fargo ATM machine at Clayton & Thornwood Drive in Concord on Monday night at about 7:30pm.
The suspect, who had a handgun, approached the man and demanded his cash. The criminal got away with about $100.
The suspect is described as a white male adult with a goatee and a blue hooded sweatshirt. He fled the scene on Thornwood Drive towards Concord Boulevard in a blue or black two-door Nissan.
Anybody with information should call the Concord Police Department.

Yikes!! That’s our bank!! What happened to the security guard? There’s always one patrolling the area.
Must be on day 5 If and needed another sack. If he would just go to sleep he wouldnt have to do sh*t like this. Youre tweakin man out there sleep walkin and sh*t. Lol
Seriously? Omg I go there around that time or earlier, that’s scary. Won’t be going there in the dark anymore.
And THIS is why I never go to the bank/ATM once the sun sets!
I was there today @ 5. Saw the security guard right there at the atm. I guess they only keep one there during bank hours.
That sucks.
…I wish I could have stopped. I was going to head to the Chase bank ATM across the street at about 7:15PM and didn’t because I don’t like bringing my child to the bank, for this very reason. Now I feel a little bad, because he might have picked me instead. I should add, I would have had 16 rounds of .40S&W available on tap. This is what the Bay Area is getting for being so soft on punishing criminals.
I think this might be a really stupid question, but….
Especially if we live in that area, should we be trying to copy down the license plate number of any dark blue or black two-door Nissan we see? (Well, actually of any we see anywhere in town?)…..and then call the police to tell them the license number and where the car is parked?)
I wish a real police officer would answer that so we’ll know how we might help.
And yes, Worry Wort and Sunshine, that’s where my husband banks and uses the ATM as well so I know how you’re feeling about this.
I usually go to the ATM around 2:00am or so in downtown Concord at Chase. Never had any problems and I always conceal a 9mm Beretta on me. That’s the only time I EVER do that. Any other time, it’s unloaded and locked up. Oh well. If law enforcement would ease up on the law abiding citizens out here in the Bay Area we wouldn’t have to do it this way. We do it only when we have to which is just every once in a while. Criminals are carrying concealed 24/7. Laws don’t exist to them.
