Last time I did this it cost me a small fortune….beware, they charge for batteries and lightbulbs.
I have used this e-waste event often in order to support DVC. The only thing they ever charged me for is $5 a microwave, whch is very reasonable compared to lots of other events. Lest you be scared off by Bob Loblaw’s comment – follow this link to see what this company will accept and will not accept: http://www.noewaste.com/what-is-recyclable.php
Thankyou for confirming exactly what I said. They charge for batteries and bulbs…A LOT.
They CHARGE at a FREE e-waste pickup?
Hmmm… They should just simply not take the item and state they don’t take them..
That way you don’t waste your time and can find another way to get rid of the items.. Say free e-waste event (excluding 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 whatever)
last time I went to a FREE eWaste pick up, I was charged $5 for an old computer
Yeah, I’ve been to “free” e-waste events where you are expected to “donate” a certain amt. per item.
