Wires down on Arnold Industrial Way

September 28, 2010 14:40 pm · 5 comments

Tuesday afternoon, 2:40pm: A large truck knocked down phone lines a few minutes ago on Arnold Industrial Way, near Laura Alice Way.

Crews are on their way to the scene to remove the wires. Arnold Industrial Way is currently shut down near Laura Alice, so take a detour if you’re in the area.

UPDATE, 3pm: Firefighters are about to cut the wires and move them from the road because AT&T won’t come out for a few hours.

The road should be open soon.

Pfft, and people say monopolies are a bad thing??
When you need emergency phone service, AT&T is only a few hours away!

A Yellow Freight Truck trailer hit the lowest wires between the poles. Those are usually cable and telephone wires, no electricity. The truck took out about three poles worth of cable that appeared to be hanging too low for the truck to pass. Cannot blame the truck diver, better look at whoever maintains those cables.
