I’d have to know it’s coming and be totally focused on it to feel a 2.7

2 Rene August 23, 2010 at 9:23 AM

I felt it but thought I was crazy!

2.7??? You would have to be right on top of it to feel that! LOL

4 Bruno's owner August 23, 2010 at 9:28 AM

Last night around 10pm–Bruno the French Bulldog of Clayton–started acting like he usually does when there’s going to be an earthquake (growling, barking for no apparent reason), such that my wife told her friend on the phone “Bruno’s acting like we’re going to have an earthquake soon!”

Despite the tip off, we did not feel it this morning…and of course Bruno slept through it too!

We just had another, A 1.3 magnitude earthquake occurred 3.11 mi NNW of Diablo, CA

I felt it! Just kindof shook real quick and then it was over.

Nope, totally missed it.

The dogs wanted out around 7:25. They were then by my side when the quick roll occurred.

I felt it too…live in the east part of Walnut Creek. I was lying awake in bed though. Not sure I would have noticed it if I’d been either asleep or up and walking around.

Nope I was riding to work at 7:30.

Too hungover, whole world is spinning and reeling.

Maybe the Concord-Green Valley Fault is finally getting ready to move. Hope you all have your 72-hours of food and water handy. You’ll need it if that fault goes.

Earthquakes are caused by rioting curmudgeons which dwell under the earth.

I felt it, but I thought it was someone running by to put up a campaign sign.

I was sound asleep, and dreaming, and that earthquake woke me right up! Guess I’m a light sleeper. But I swear if felt much stronger than that at my house….I’m at the base of Mt. Diablo. Shook my house good!

Sorry everyone! Fell to the floor when wife kicked me out of bed for snoring too loud. Will try to lose a few pounds to keep them quakes down to a modest 1.x magnitude.

Tonichi69, much appreciated for your efforts in lessening the property damage.

The only way for me to feel a quake it would have to be at least a 4.0!

19 Leigh August 23, 2010 at 12:23 PM

It was real light and real quick. I was on the couch and felt it and actually thought the dog had knocked the couch a bit, but then looked around and she was laying on other couch so realized it was an Earthquake.

I’m shocked at how many people were in bed at 7:30 a.m., especially on such a nice, sunny day!

I must have been out pulling weeds in the yard at that time, or putting out the trash, so I missed it.

I was in bed this morning and I felt it. I told my husband I didn’t know if we had an earthquake or I was shaking from muscle spasms (I have MS). Glad to know I’m not crazy!

22 CB August 23, 2010 at 4:19 PM

Yep, I felt it. It was so mild that I thought it was the precursor to something stronger, but then nothing else happened.

23 Rachel J August 23, 2010 at 4:38 PM

I had been dreaming that someone pushed me, and was jolted awake! Woke up right at the time of the earthquake. Guess I did feel it!

24 Atticus Thraxx August 23, 2010 at 5:17 PM

Sorry…that was me. A little gassy from my wife’s cooking.

Sometimes they pop off some dynamite at the quarry above Mitchell Canyon & it actually registers on the Richter Scale. I don’t mind that but the dust here is incredible. It can’t be good for our health, but the quarry was here before I was so guess I shouldn’t complain.

I felt it at work in San Ramon – A few of us felt it good. Some in the office swore it was a truck rolling by.
