The other day, we first told you about the new movie being filmed in Concord, titled “Love, Concord”.
Today is the last day of filming. The crew was nice enough to let CLAYCORD.com on to their set yesterday, and allowed “Radar” to take a few shots of the action.
The movie, which is the first feature film ever to be filmed in the City of Concord, will apparently have it’s World premiere in Concord when the final product is finished.
“Love, Concord” is a movie about a high school class clown who keeps striking out with girls, but finally gets a chance with one, and has to decide whether he wants to pursue the relationship, or keep his reputation as a class clown.
The films creator, Gus Guardado, says one of the goals of his film is to show Latinos in a more positive light, instead of showing them in gangs, or committing crimes. He wants people to understand that Latinos have the same normal suburban conflicts that others have.

McGreek’s truck!!!
Can’t wait to see the finished product. Good luck with it!
Cool I can’t wait to see it!
They’re using one of the new 7d’s, huh?!?! Maybe one of the new 5d’s?
Radar, did you catch that? What they’re shooting with?
I have to get one of those!!!
All of my film buddies tell me that’s all anyone uses anymore!
Ian they were using Canons and I think one camera was a 7D. Very cool cameras! I had a great time there. Just wish The Mayor used the audio files that I made of the interviews of Gus.
Mr. Mayor, let us know when the world premiere is, as I would be interested in attending.
Home Pride and all that.
When Gus knows when the world premier is so will Claycord and it will be covered here!
That’s what I thought. Those L series lenses are easy to spot.
That 7d is awesome!!!!
I wish I had the money.
I hear the new 5d has the hd video capabilities the 7d has with a few less bells and whistles.
Still, gotta wait a few generations for them to come down in price.
Ian, I think someone had a 5D too.
Ummmm, I beg to differ with you… but that is not the first film that was filmed in Concord. There was one made in 1987/88 that was INTENDED to be a theatrical release but ended up going straight to video due to the horrendous actions of the Writer/Director.
It was called “Clownhouse” (look it up on Wikipedia or IMDB) and was mostly filmed at the house on Bonifacio next to the church.
Just an FYI…..
But I am looking forward to this “Love, Concord” movie. Thanks for letting us know!

Former Concord Girl,
I looked up the info about “Clownhouse”, but it doesn’t say anywhere that it was filmed in Concord or set there. The IMDB page just says “California, US” as a shooting location.
Is the movie actually SET in Concord? Or was it just shot there? That’s a big difference.
